Confirmation of Executives after two year probation period

In line with continuous persuasion of AIGETOA Kerala in the matter, finally circle office has issued the confirmation order in the cader of JTO. The matter was placed before CGMT in our earlier agenda / further meetings. Consequently two weeks back circle administration assured us that the confirmation orders will be issued soon. Now the orders are issued for 69 executives on 21-9-2021.

We are thankful to our GM(HR/admin) and entire HR section for publishing the same as per the direction from our respected CGMT, Kerala. For remaining BAs/ left out cases the order will be issued further.

Phased Migration of UTSTARCOM E-PON (ICOMM) OLT/ONTs

AIGETOA Kerala submitted a representation to CGMT BSNL Kerala with regard to Phased Migration of UTSTARCOM E-PON (ICOMM) OLTs which were installed during initial period of FTTH rollout in Kerala (year 2010) and are still serving many government departments and High ARPU customers. We proposed two feasible methods for the migration and requested the management to do the needful.

Encroachment of privacy of executives in the name of monitoring of attendance

AIGETOA Kerala submitted its apprehensions on the move by circle management by the encroachment of Privacy of executives in the name of monitoring of attendance. Capturing the location details of people amounts to infringement of privacy of individual and is against the ‘Right to privacy’ the fundamental right which an integral part of the right to life and liberty. We outrightly condemn and deprecate such injudicious acts of management and relevant points are submitted for consideration with management. We demanded to immediately withdraw the letter and to scrap the online attendance system which has not fetched any tangible results for BSNL Kerala during its operation.

Meeting with UBI Bank about the delay in disbursement of salary after the release of funds from BSNL

An online Meeting on the matter was held under the chairmanship of Smt. Rathirani, Circle IFA, Sri. R Satheesh GM (HR/Admin) and UBI Bank Pattom Chief Manger on 28/8/2021. AIGETOA was represented by Sri. Saheer S, Circle Secretary, and Sri.Dipu Chandran CHQ Organising Secretary.

A detailed discussion happened on the issues and concerns by Management, Associations and Union's with Bank Authorities. AIGETOA has made our clear stand that repetition of such incidents is not acceptable. The issue was not there before few months and since it's happening only in Kerala, and that too only for non-account holders of UBI, it directly points to the lapse from Bank authorities.

After a reply from UBI Manager and Management, it was concluded in the meeting that both UBI and BSNL Kerala Circle Management will pursue to avoid delay in raising authorization limit approval which was pointed as an issue. We hope that the delay in disbursement of salary will not happen in the future after the release of fund authorization from BSNL and suggested to management that in case of any deviation, the account change from M/s UBI needs to be explored.

Transparency in commitment and actions

Aigetoa Kerala succeeded to officially streamline the tenure or difficult stations in the Kerala circle especially to cater to the staff posting/transfer requirements at such places and non-standard adoption of policies while posting to such places.

The issue was taken up in the first agenda meeting and staff redistribution meeting called by CGMT for areas like Wayanad, Idukki and Kasaragod, Uppala SDCAs. Now with the clarification issued for Kasaragod and Uppala SDCAs, the same stands are completed.

Our Kannur district unit made a special effort through BA management to get this done.

This is the way an association can make transparency and streamline the procedures, which will be equal for executives on a long-term vision. We are thankful to our respected CGMT and Administration for doing corrective measures.

Apprehension on NGN equipment AMC with M/s UTSTARCOM

AIGETOA Kerala has raised the concern over nonmentioning of review on equipped capacity based on subsequent closures/decommissioning of installed/equipped capacity in the AMC awarded to M/s UTSTARCOM for maintenance of UT NGN equipment which is marked for Seven years after warranty. No provision is seen in the above-mentioned contract for revision of capacity at any intermediate point of time. We requested our respected CGMT to intervene & cross verify the clauses of AMC and ensure a quarter-wise revision of capacity for AMC PO before processing bills.

CHQ news on pay loss issue of executives

AIGETOA has submitted the detailed representation on the pay loss issue of executives recruited in the pre-revised E1A Scale after 01.01.2007 by extending the initial basic as 22820/-. The committee was formed for reviewing the same by the persuasion from AIGETOA. AIGETOA was invited for a detailed discussion with the committee and the inputs from other associations were also taken by the committee. The rules, legal directions, at par principles, and natural justice need to be done on the matter. We have met concerned officials and we are expecting a positive recommendation by the committee to provide justice to one of the most deprived matters of pay loss, which will definitely uphold the morale of the hardworking executives.
