AIGETOA Kerala Diary - 2025 Inauguration Ceremony

The 2025 Diary of AIGETOA Kerala was officially inaugurated today at the office of the CGMT, BSNL Kerala Circle. The inauguration took place as the Circle Secretary, Sri. Maxmilan K, presented the first copy of the diary to CGMT, BSNL Kerala Circle. The event was graced by  the presence of Sr. GM HR/Admin, Sri. R. Sathesh, DGM HR/Admin Smt Girija Kumari P, AIGETOA Circle Chairman Sri. Saheer S, AIGETOA DS Circle Office Sri. Varun, along with office bearers of  the association.


During the program, the CGM extended his heartfelt New Year greetings to the association and all BSNL employees. He also expressed optimism and shared his hopes for a bright future for BSNL, emphasizing the collective effort needed for the continued success and growth of the company.

AIGETOA Ernakulam’s 6th District Conference cum Annual General Meeting

The 6th District Conference cum Annual General Meeting of AIGETOA Ernakulam was held on 29th November 2024, at the Conference Hall of Cochin Gymkhana Club, Ernakulam. The event commenced with a delightful buffet lunch, served to all dignitaries and members before the official inauguration of the function.

Open Session Highlights:

The Open Session began with a prayer song by Sri. Madhu Ramachandran, JTO, Ernakulam, setting a positive tone for the function’s proceedings. The session was presided over by Smt. Shini K. R., District President of AIGETOA Ernakulam. Sri. Nikesh V. K., District Secretary, extended a warm welcome to all dignitaries and participants in attendance.

The presence of CEC members and CHQ collegium members from AIGETOA Kerala further elevated the significance of the event. The Chief Guest and Guests of Honour delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of unified efforts for the betterment of BSNL and its employees. The event also witnessed the unveiling of the AIGETOA Kerala Calendar 2025 by PGMT Sri. Surendran V. ITS, along with the General Secretary of AIGETOA and other dignitaries. The Open Session was concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sri. Tony Thomas, District Finance Secretary, AIGETOA Ernakulam.

 

District Conference Organizational Proceedings:

The second part of the conference began with the presentation of the District Secretary’s Report by Sri. Nikesh V. K., followed by the Finance Report by Sri. Tony Thomas. Both reports were unanimously accepted by the district collegium. The district governing body for the term 2021-2024 was subsequently dissolved by the District President, Smt. Shini K. R.

Election of New District Governing Body: AIGETOA Ernakulam

The election proceedings for the new district governing body were conducted by the Returning Officer, Sri. Krishnakumar K. K., with the assistance of ARO Sri. Naveen Bose. Circle Observer, Sri. Anoopdas, was also present to oversee the election process. In addition to the final nominations, spot nominations were made by the collegium members in accordance with the association’s bylaws. After detailed deliberations and discussions, the following executives were unanimously elected for the term 2024-2027:

The function concluded with the Oath-taking ceremony by the newly elected office bearers, followed by the formal handing over of minutes, financial statements, and account-related documents. The 6th District Conference cum Annual General Meeting of AIGETOA Ernakulam was a momentous occasion that highlighted the strength and unity of the association, ensuring a bright future for BSNL and its employees.

Co-ordination Meeting with BMS, AIGETOA, and BTEU - 30th Nov 2024

A Co-ordination meeting was held on 30th November 2024 at the Conference Hall, PWD Rest House, Ernakulam, bringing together representatives from BMS, AIGETOA, and BTEU to discuss key issues related to BSNL employees, particularly focusing on Pay, Pension, Promotions and other organizational matters.

The meeting saw participation from distinguished leaders of :

BMS: Sri. Ramnath Ganesh ji All India Secretary  and Telecom Sector incharge

BTEU: Sri. R.C. Pandey ji General Secretary along with  All India Vice President, Sri. Balu Kenath ji; Deputy  Organizing Secretary, Sri. S. Sudhir ji; along with Kerala Circle Secretary Sri. P.M. Raju ji and Circle President, Sri. R. Santhosh Kumar ji.

AIGETOA: General Secretary, Sri. Ravi Shil Vermaji; AGS, Sri. Vivek Kumar Singh ji; Kerala Circle Secretary,  Sri. Maxmilan; Circle President, Sri. Muhammadali , CFS Sri. Sambhu Chandran , Circle Chairman Sri. Saheer , Convenor Sri. Ansal Mohammed , Asst Circle Secretaries Sri. Abdul Basith , Sri. Dipu Chandran , Sri. Anoop Das and CHQ Collegium members Sri. Anurag M , Sri. Binoj CB and Sri. Chandrakumar OB.

The meeting commenced at 11:15 AM with a warm welcome by AIGETOA Kerala Circle Secretary. All distinguished leaders of BMS and BTEU were presented with bouquets of flowers as a gesture of appreciation. In the opening remarks, the Kerala Circle Secretary highlighted the invaluable support extended to AIGETOA by BMS and BTEU for addressing critical issues affecting BSNL employees.

In the address by Sri. Ramnath Ganesh ji emphasized the importance of unity  and trust among the employees and  to resolve pending issues related to pay scales, superannuation dues , and career progression for BSNL employees. He reaffirmed BMS’s commitment to working towards these resolutions.

BTEU's General Secretary, Sri. R.C. Pandey ji, urged more involvement from all quarters and praised AIGETOA’s efforts in tackling long-standing concerns of BSNL employees, specifically related to the settlement of  2nd PRC dues  and implementation 3rd  PRC in BSNL

AIGETOA General Secretary, Sri. Ravi Shil Verma ji, acknowledged the unwavering support of BMS and BTEU and expressed optimism about the resolution of the SAB dues, Pay scale /pay loss issues, and the implementation of the 3rd PRC. He also highlighted the anticipated positive outcomes for promotions in the near future through the ongoing efforts at the corporate office level.

Later, Kerala AIGETOA CHQ collegium members    Sri. Ansal Mohammed  C H, Sri. Anoop Das ,Sri. Chandrakumar and  Sri Anurag detailed the issues which included, pending SAB dues (8.2%),  PRMB trust formation, E2/E3 pay scale implementation, Pay loss for post-2007-08 batches ( 22820 & JE period pay loss of LICE JTOs ), and the challenges faced by BSNL employees regarding career progression, hardships faced in transfers , need of TA/DA revisions , the recent gratuity ceiling increasing matter for BSNL recruited employees   etc  which leads to the demotivation of workforce in each passing day. The Kerala team presented these concerns in detail, stressing the need for immediate action to address these issues.

The apex leadership of  BMS and BTEU reassured the attendees of their commitment to resolving all genuine employee concerns. They also expressed their appreciation for the continuous efforts of AIGETOA’s leadership in pursuing these matters. The circle team of AIGETOA assured their full support to the Central Headquarters for all the steps which are being taken to strengthen the organization and for settlement of long pending issues.

The meeting concluded at 1:45 PM with a vote of thanks from Sri. Dipu Chandran, followed by a lunch for all the participants. The discussions underscored the collective determination of BMS, AIGETOA, and BTEU to work together towards the betterment of BSNL employees and the swift resolution of long-pending issues.

AIGETOA Kerala Circle Executive Committee Meeting Update – 29th November 2024

The Circle Executive Committee (CEC) meeting of AIGETOA Kerala was successfully held on 29th November 2024 at the Conference Hall, Cochin Gymkhana Club, Ernakulam. The meeting commenced at 10:15 AM with a flag hoisting ceremony by the Circle President, Sri. Muhammadali M C in the presence of CEC  members and DS/DPS/DFS from various BA units.The General Secretary of AIGETOA, Sri. Ravishil Verma, and the Assistant  General Secretary, Sri. Vivek Kumar Singh, graced the meeting with their presence. All  the CEC members and representatives from various BA units of Kerala were also in attendance.

The meeting began with opening remarks from the Circle Secretary, Sri. Maxmilan K followed by  Circle Finance Secretary, Sri. Sambhu Chandran. The General Secretary  in his opening remarks appreciated and acknowledged the effort of  team AIGETOA Kerala . He also mentioned about the invaluable support   and inputs to  AIGETOA CHQ team by the   AIGETOA Kerala CEC /CHQ nominated members from Kerala which is helpful for   resolution on various matters and benefitting the employee welfare.

The General Secretary  then provided a comprehensive status update on various issues. He highlighted that through the relentless efforts of AIGETOA at   corporate office  level , more positive results regarding promotions are expected in the near future. The General Secretary also informed the participants that laptop reimbursement for all executives and the revision of TA/DA rates are on the horizon, pending the resolution of some final administrative details which was also under pursuance by AIGETOA. 

The participants in the meeting appraised on with  several key matters including 

30% SAB Dues & Payscale, Payloss : The General Secretary expressed optimism that AIGETOA’s continued efforts, supported by the BMS affiliation, will lead to the resolution of the SAB dues, payscale, and pay loss issue and also the demand for E1+5 increment etc. 3rd PRC Settlement: The support from BMS at higher levels was also acknowledged  by GS AIGETOA as crucial in addressing issues related to the 3rd PRC settlement.  There occurred elaborate updates on BSNL – MTNL merger matters,  One PSU- One association,  Need based &  request transfers & Rule8/9 clearance, extension of district governing body, VRS discussions also. The CEC took up each agenda points on organizational matters  for discussion and resolution. : Concerns raised by members regarding the attendance app and the second Saturday compensatory off were   also brought to the table. Discussions were held on the rollout of 4G services and MAAN/OTN infrastructure.

 

Towards the conclusion of the CEC meeting, a special moment took place. A personal family portrait  of Sri. Ravishil Verma , created by  Sri. Priyadashan (DFS, AIGETOA Kannur) a  renowned artist from BSNL family was presented to the General Secretary,  as a token of love and respect on behalf of AIGETOA Kerala. The team Kozhikkode also presented a token of gratitude to the GS , AIGETOA. 

 

The General Secretary assured the members that AIGETOA CHQ  & Circle teams remains committed to addressing all genuine issues, regardless of how few employees may be affected. He also  emphasized that the voluntary legal fund contribution needs to be strengthened for the association’s continued success. The CEC / district units were also  appraised about concern about  some false propagandas and suggested the office bearers to be more cautious on various matters. The CEC meeting concluded  at 1 PM , with a strong sense of unity and determination to continue addressing the concerns of BSNL executives, with particular focus on resolving ongoing issues related to promotions, implementing E2/E3 pay scales,  addressing pay loss , 30% SAB dues , 3rd PRC  etc.   The GS and AGS were felicitated by representatives of newly promoted AGMs (by the clearance of the  long pending reversion issue) . They all appreciated the efforts of AIGETOA in persuading the matter to the fullest and GS AIGETOA in particular who made  the greatest effort  for this promotions to happen. Later,  the groups of representatives from the LICE JTOs, addressing pay loss during the JE period, the 2K7-08 batches (regarding 22820 basic fixation), SDE to AGM DPC and LICE matters, and AO to CAO promotions, also met with the GS/AGS and discussed their concerns in detail. On behalf of AIGETOA, the General Secretary informed that  AIGETOA remains committed to fighting for the rights of its members and ensuring that every issue is taken up with the utmost seriousness.
