A Co-ordination meeting was held on 30th November 2024 at the Conference Hall, PWD Rest House, Ernakulam, bringing together representatives from BMS, AIGETOA, and BTEU to discuss key issues related to BSNL employees, particularly focusing on Pay, Pension, Promotions and other organizational matters.
The meeting saw participation from distinguished leaders of :
BMS: Sri. Ramnath Ganesh ji All India Secretary and Telecom Sector incharge
BTEU: Sri. R.C. Pandey ji General Secretary along with All India Vice President, Sri. Balu Kenath ji; Deputy Organizing Secretary, Sri. S. Sudhir ji; along with Kerala Circle Secretary Sri. P.M. Raju ji and Circle President, Sri. R. Santhosh Kumar ji.

The meeting commenced at 11:15 AM with a warm welcome by AIGETOA Kerala Circle Secretary. All distinguished leaders of BMS and BTEU were presented with bouquets of flowers as a gesture of appreciation. In the opening remarks, the Kerala Circle Secretary highlighted the invaluable support extended to AIGETOA by BMS and BTEU for addressing critical issues affecting BSNL employees.
In the address by Sri. Ramnath Ganesh ji emphasized the importance of unity and trust among the employees and to resolve pending issues related to pay scales, superannuation dues , and career progression for BSNL employees. He reaffirmed BMS’s commitment to working towards these resolutions.
BTEU's General Secretary, Sri. R.C. Pandey ji, urged more involvement from all quarters and praised AIGETOA’s efforts in tackling long-standing concerns of BSNL employees, specifically related to the settlement of 2nd PRC dues and implementation 3rd PRC in BSNL
AIGETOA General Secretary, Sri. Ravi Shil Verma ji, acknowledged the unwavering support of BMS and BTEU and expressed optimism about the resolution of the SAB dues, Pay scale /pay loss issues, and the implementation of the 3rd PRC. He also highlighted the anticipated positive outcomes for promotions in the near future through the ongoing efforts at the corporate office level.
Later, Kerala AIGETOA CHQ collegium members Sri. Ansal Mohammed C H, Sri. Anoop Das ,Sri. Chandrakumar and Sri Anurag detailed the issues which included, pending SAB dues (8.2%), PRMB trust formation, E2/E3 pay scale implementation, Pay loss for post-2007-08 batches ( 22820 & JE period pay loss of LICE JTOs ), and the challenges faced by BSNL employees regarding career progression, hardships faced in transfers , need of TA/DA revisions , the recent gratuity ceiling increasing matter for BSNL recruited employees etc which leads to the demotivation of workforce in each passing day. The Kerala team presented these concerns in detail, stressing the need for immediate action to address these issues.
The apex leadership of BMS and BTEU reassured the attendees of their commitment to resolving all genuine employee concerns. They also expressed their appreciation for the continuous efforts of AIGETOA’s leadership in pursuing these matters. The circle team of AIGETOA assured their full support to the Central Headquarters for all the steps which are being taken to strengthen the organization and for settlement of long pending issues.
The meeting concluded at 1:45 PM with a vote of thanks from Sri. Dipu Chandran, followed by a lunch for all the participants. The discussions underscored the collective determination of BMS, AIGETOA, and BTEU to work together towards the betterment of BSNL employees and the swift resolution of long-pending issues.
