The Circle Executive Committee (CEC) meeting of AIGETOA Kerala was successfully held on 29th November 2024 at the Conference Hall, Cochin Gymkhana Club, Ernakulam. The meeting commenced at 10:15 AM with a flag hoisting ceremony by the Circle President, Sri. Muhammadali M C in the presence of CEC members and DS/DPS/DFS from various BA units.The General Secretary of AIGETOA, Sri. Ravishil Verma, and the Assistant General Secretary, Sri. Vivek Kumar Singh, graced the meeting with their presence. All the CEC members and representatives from various BA units of Kerala were also in attendance.
The meeting began with opening remarks from the Circle Secretary, Sri. Maxmilan K followed by Circle Finance Secretary, Sri. Sambhu Chandran. The General Secretary in his opening remarks appreciated and acknowledged the effort of team AIGETOA Kerala . He also mentioned about the invaluable support and inputs to AIGETOA CHQ team by the AIGETOA Kerala CEC /CHQ nominated members from Kerala which is helpful for resolution on various matters and benefitting the employee welfare.
The General Secretary then provided a comprehensive status update on various issues. He highlighted that through the relentless efforts of AIGETOA at corporate office level , more positive results regarding promotions are expected in the near future. The General Secretary also informed the participants that laptop reimbursement for all executives and the revision of TA/DA rates are on the horizon, pending the resolution of some final administrative details which was also under pursuance by AIGETOA.
The participants in the meeting appraised on with several key matters including
30% SAB Dues & Payscale, Payloss : The General Secretary expressed optimism that AIGETOA’s continued efforts, supported by the BMS affiliation, will lead to the resolution of the SAB dues, payscale, and pay loss issue and also the demand for E1+5 increment etc. 3rd PRC Settlement: The support from BMS at higher levels was also acknowledged by GS AIGETOA as crucial in addressing issues related to the 3rd PRC settlement. There occurred elaborate updates on BSNL – MTNL merger matters, One PSU- One association, Need based & request transfers & Rule8/9 clearance, extension of district governing body, VRS discussions also. The CEC took up each agenda points on organizational matters for discussion and resolution. : Concerns raised by members regarding the attendance app and the second Saturday compensatory off were also brought to the table. Discussions were held on the rollout of 4G services and MAAN/OTN infrastructure.
Towards the conclusion of the CEC meeting, a special moment took place. A personal family portrait of Sri. Ravishil Verma , created by Sri. Priyadashan (DFS, AIGETOA Kannur) a renowned artist from BSNL family was presented to the General Secretary, as a token of love and respect on behalf of AIGETOA Kerala. The team Kozhikkode also presented a token of gratitude to the GS , AIGETOA.
The General Secretary assured the members that AIGETOA CHQ & Circle teams remains committed to addressing all genuine issues, regardless of how few employees may be affected. He also emphasized that the voluntary legal fund contribution needs to be strengthened for the association’s continued success. The CEC / district units were also appraised about concern about some false propagandas and suggested the office bearers to be more cautious on various matters. The CEC meeting concluded at 1 PM , with a strong sense of unity and determination to continue addressing the concerns of BSNL executives, with particular focus on resolving ongoing issues related to promotions, implementing E2/E3 pay scales, addressing pay loss , 30% SAB dues , 3rd PRC etc. The GS and AGS were felicitated by representatives of newly promoted AGMs (by the clearance of the long pending reversion issue) . They all appreciated the efforts of AIGETOA in persuading the matter to the fullest and GS AIGETOA in particular who made the greatest effort for this promotions to happen. Later, the groups of representatives from the LICE JTOs, addressing pay loss during the JE period, the 2K7-08 batches (regarding 22820 basic fixation), SDE to AGM DPC and LICE matters, and AO to CAO promotions, also met with the GS/AGS and discussed their concerns in detail. On behalf of AIGETOA, the General Secretary informed that AIGETOA remains committed to fighting for the rights of its members and ensuring that every issue is taken up with the utmost seriousness.
