Finally the result of 2nd EMV conducted on 18/08/2020 are released and AIGETOA has emerged as the Recognised Majority Representative Association in BSNL. We congratulate all executives for their esteemed participation and the overwhelming support extended to AIGETOA. We are elated on this performance and it is a dream comes true for us. We have stood the test of time and worked tirelessly keeping faith on our beliefs. We remain composed and reiterate our commitment to work tirelessly and dedicate ourselves for building a more vibrant and inclusive BSNL 2.0.
On this historic day when we look back, we recognise that it was a tough journey for an association that took birth on 21/11/2005 and couldn’t dream of reaching where we are today, but for the firm commitment and dedication of our members. The virtues and shared values that define this association has been a source of inspiration and a strong bond for our team work. We also recognise that this victory or the recognition tag is an entitlement to represent all executives shared aspirations before the management. Our tryst with the real success will be the day when we can have the resolution of our real issues and turn around BSNL. We remain committed to leave no stone unturned till this is achieved.
This historic day would not have been a reality but for the hard work and sacrifices of many of our colleagues at All India level and at Circle level including our founding members. The active participation of our dynamic AIP and GS along with the entire CHQ team in day to day affairs of Kerala circle body has left an indelible mark on us and ignited our quest to excel. The hard work and sleepless nights put forth by many of our office bearers and members in the CHQ, Circle Body and SSA bodies in last few years need a special mention. We would like to assure them that you have sweated it out with a purpose. Your hard work has carved out a new sunrise – a new beginning, where we can feel a level of involvement and entitlement on decisions of management regarding issues that concerned to our day to day professional life. Let us continue to work for a more professional work environment within BSNL.
On this day, we also extend our special thanks to the Office Bearers and members of our alliance partners of SEWA and ABLE for their valuable support and blessings during this E MV and this shall remain a partnership that we will cherish for the years to come. AIGETOA has never hid the fact that it is a platform that is synonymous with the Pay, Promotion, Pension aspirations of BSNL executives and also profitability and viability of BSNL. While we remain committed to this cause, we also believe that sufficient space exists in BSNL for all cadres to coexist with mutual respect, provided a conducive environment exists. It shall be our endeavour to work towards it and we reiterate our commitment before the MV - to work as an association for all executives. It is our honest assurance that we shall abide by this promise. We believe in Unity, but we believe in Unity through Equity and not in something farce as labeling a show of predominance and gimmicks as a show of Unity!
We also have no qualms in congratulating other associations who participated in MV for their performance. However we request them that at this juncture, we need to remind ourselves of the fact that the real success lies in resolution of issues and turning around BSNL. Let us pledge to keep our differences apart when we work for BSNL and reaffirm our commitment to turn around BSNL by offering an olive branch to management on constructive suggestions from them and acting as an alert watchdog on matters that are detrimental to the company as well as employees. Let us learn to keep the usurping tactics and incidents for one-upmanship at bay and work with a shared vision of a more vibrant and inclusive BSNL 2.0. It is then that we will be able to achieve the real “Unity of executives” in BSNL!
